Shown is the front and back of the printed paper prize envelope. Inside is a miniature toy prize boomerang. This toy prize is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1920s or 1930s. This novelty toy is not marked Cracker Jack but it is a known to have been used as a toy prize. The back of the envelope has illustrated instructions. It is marked on the two sides of the prize wrapper or envelope as follows: THE “WONDER” BOOMERANG. LOOP RUBBER IN NOTCH AND HOLD LIGHTLY BY THUMB AND FOREFINGER OVER RUBBER BAND. STRETCH RUBBER GENTLY THEN LET GO. AFTER A LITTLE PRACTICE IN GETTING THE EXACT POSITION YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE THE BOOMERANG FLY AND RETURN PERFECTLY TO YOUR HAND. LEAN TOP OF THE BOOMERANG SLIGHTLY TOWARDS THE RIGHT HAND. JAPAN The paper envelope measures about 2-7/16'' x 1-1/2''. The envelope is unopened but you can hold it up to a light and see the boomerang inside. The envelope appears to be in good unopened condition. There is a small puncture hole by the illustration on the back as pictured. |
