| | | The picture shows a sample view of one of the (10) 1938 United States Naval Training Station Newport Recruit Newsletters in this lot. Each of these old newsletters has four pages. They are filled with all kinds of pictures, cartoons, articles about base happenings, ship launchings, sports, church, graduations, men honored, songs, events, motion pictures, stories of naval battles, advancements, and much, much more. There is too much to mention in these. There are two issues that are printed in red and blue ink, and one on green paper. The others all have black print. One issue (pictured) has an article about Abraham Lincoln. The issues that are included in this lot are as follows: Saturday, 8 January 1938, VOL. XIV, NO.23 Saturday, 15 January 1938, VOL. XIV, NO.24 Saturday, 5 February 1938, VOL. XIV, NO.27 Saturday, 12 February 1938, VOL. XIV, NO.28 Saturday, 19 February 1938, VOL. XIV, NO.29 Saturday, 26 February 1938, VOL.
