| | | | The picture shows a view of this Old Comical Card Game Of Whip. Shown is the card back design, box cover sections, and samples of the card designs. There is no box, but there is the cover as seen. It is in two parts ans on the back is the instructions. This is by the Russell Manufaturing Company of Leicester, Massachusetts. The year it was made is unknown, but it is old. The cards are colorful and have comic strip looking characters. The instructions state that the game consists of eight sets of cards with four cards in each set. the following is a list of the card titles and how many there are of each. They are marked as follows: (6) Never Whipped (Uncle Sam)
(4) Whip - Poor - Will (bird)
(3) Whipping Daddy (with rolling pin)
(4) Just Whipped (boy)
(4) Wind Whipped (airplane)
(4) Afraid Of Whip (horse)
(4) Whip Dreams (Mother with paddle) The cards measure about 2-1/2'' x 3-3/8''. The set is obviously not complete but has nice looking cards. The cards are in good condition with some wear and a few with creasing. |
