Newspaper   GRIT   Advertising   Award   Pin   Paper Boy   Nostalgic
The picture shows both sides of all (3) Small Old Newspaper Delivery Items in this lot. Two of them are from GRIT. The first item is an early advertising celluloid pin back button. It is imprinted in red, white, blue, and gold. It has a paper insert in the back. It is marked on the front and back as follows:

GRIT'S
GOLDEN
RULE
CLUB
MEMBER
DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD
HAVE OTHERS DO UNTO YOU

MADE BY
HYATT M'F'G. CO.
BALTO. MD.
BADGES & BUTTONS
OF ALL KINDS

The next item is also an old GRIT item. It is an advertising stick pin. It has raised images of two angels holding a banner. The front and back of this one reads as follows:

GRIT
HONOR
BADGE

WHITEHEAD & HOAG

The third and final item in this lot is an old painted lead figure. It is a boy selling newspapers. This paperboy figure is holding a newspaper that reads "EXTRA". It does not have a makers mark. I do not know it's age, but it is believed to be old. To judge the sizes the stickpin measures 2-1/2" long. All three are in near mint to mint condition.
