| | | The picture shows a view of the (2) Unused 1957 Peyton Place Movie Ad Mat Molds. The ad mats are not dated but they are from the 1957 movie. These are molds in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this. The ad mats are like a miniature 3-D poster and would look nice framed, or you could still use them to make print blocks from. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. The top admat has all of the movie information below, movie scene images actors and actresses, and a scenic movie set background. The bottom one only has one movie scene. It is marked as follows: THE TOWN - THE PEOPLE - EVERYONE'S TALKING ABOUT! JERRY WALD'S PEYTON PLACE 20th CENTURY FOX (logo) CINEMASCOPE COLOR BY DE LUXE STARRING LANA TURNER - HOPE LANGE - LEE PHILIPS - LLOYD NOLAN DIANE VARSI - ARTHUR KENNEDY - RUSS TAMBLYN - TERRY MOORE FEATURING DAVID NELSON - BARRY COE - BETTY FIELD - LEON AMES MILDRED DUNNOOK - LORNE GREEN PRODUCED BY JERRY WALD DIRECTED BY MARK ROBSON SCEENPLAY BY JOHN MICHAEL HAYES SIG 100 LINES x 2 COL.
