The picture shows a view of the front of this Colorful Old Raphael Tuck Embossed Celluloid Greeting Card. The card is not dated but believed to be from the early 1900s. The colorful front is made of embossed celluloid. It has two sailing ships, a window, roses and other flowers, a heart, a horse shoe, wish bones, and a banner that reads ''WITH MY LOVE''. The cover is sewn on to a paper back and there is a string on the binding side. There are two pages inside that ar loose. One has an art nouveau design with flowers and reads: ALL JOY BE YOURS IN THE COMING YEAR. From (signed) Fred The other page has a printed New Years greeting. The back page is marked: Raphael Tuck & Sons, Ltd. Publishers to the King and Queen Closed, as pictured, the card measures 3-3/8'' x 4-3/4''. It is in very good condition with some light spotting on the pages and back. |
