The picture shows a view of the (5) Unused 1958 King Creole Elvis Presley Movie Ad Mat Molds Plus the Bonus in this lot. Four of these are all still connected. All but one of the King Creole molds have movie scene images and three have the advertising for the movie. The ad mat is not dated but it is from 1958 when the movie was made. These are molds in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this. The bonus in this lot (lower right in the picture below) is a partial ad mat from the 1957 Elvis Presley movie ''Loving You''. The ad mats are like a miniature 3-D posters and would look nice framed, or you could still use them to make print blocks from. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. This admat has images of Elvis playing guitar and in movie scenes. These ad mats are marked as follows: (#1) PARAMOUNT PRESENTS ELVIS PRESLEY IN KING CREOLE A HAL WALLIS PRODUCTION (Paramount Pictures logo) ¨
