The picture shows a view of all (43) Portsmouth New Hampshire Advertising & Souvenir Items in this lot. This is a large bulk lot that has been acquired or accumulated over time from many different sources. Most are older items but a few are newer. The photo slides in the bottom left of the picture are NOT included in this lot. There are far too many items in this lot to describe each one individually, but some highlights of the items included here are as follows: There is an original newspaper article about the 1905 treaty between Japan and Russia that was made in Portsmouth at The Wentworth by the Sea Hotel. There is an 1800s photograph card of The 1888 Soldiers and Sailors Civil War Monument that is at Goodwin Park, Islington Street, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The photo is so clear that ''KEARSARGE'' and ''GETTYSBURG'' can be read from the statue base. This photograph card was made by Davis Bros. of 15 Pleasant Street and 5 Congress Street of Portsmouth, N.H.. There is an advertising match cover and empty sugar packet from Yoken's Famous Seafood Restaurant. There are also advertising match books or covers from The Rockingham Hotel, Arthur's Diner (169 Congress Street), and The Fisherman's Pier Restaurant on Route #1. There are (6) old drink swizzle or stir sticks. Five of them are from The Fisherman's Pier Restaurant, and one with a sailboat is from Ladd's on Route #1A. Next there are (4) old items from Strawberry Banke in Portsmouth. Two are August 17th, 1973 ticket tags, one is a wooden nickel from the Dunaway Store, and one is a pin back button. There is a Port of Portsmouth History Guide put out by the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce, an old unused Portsmouth, N.H. sailboat decal, a ''Seacoast 25'' lighthouse charm (believed to be from dancing), and a Portsmouth Harbor Cruises brochure. There are (2) ©1995 ''Ted Gets Out'' Portsmouth and Hampton Beach, New Hampshire coloring books. Maps of the towns are in the back to go with the storyline. The Hampton Beach book is unused and the Portsmouth one has coloring on some pages. The (19) remaining items in this lot are all postcards. Only one was used in 1921.
