The back of the letter is blank. The envelope has a pink or red George Washington two cent postage stamp, postmarks fromWest Swanzey and Keene, New Hampshire, on Christmas Day, December 25th 1898. It was sent to a Keene, New Hampshire mailing address. The envelope is marked as follows: C. L. RUSSELL WEST SWANZEY, N.H., MANUFACTURER OF AND DEALER IN PRESSED AND COMMON BRICK. BRICK YARD ON WATER STREET, KEENE, N.H. RETURN AFTER FIVE DAYS The letter reads (as best we can make out) as follows: C. L.
