| | | | The pictures show a front and back view of this Old Ornate Primitive Carved Wooden Platter or Serving Tray. The year that this platter was carved is unknown but it is old. The maker is also unknown. The wood appears to be some type of pine, but we can not say for certain. Both sides are carved. The front or top has an intricate flower in the center with checker board patterns all around it with leaves and branches. The rim has a line and notched pattern with a scalloped edge all around. The back has a carved honeycomb looking pattern with a flat section in the center. The platter or tray measures about 16'' x 8-1/4''. It appears to be in excellent used condition. There is some light wear in the center and on the outer edge from use as pictured. |
