| | | The picture shows a view of all (11) Unused 1987 New Hampshire Retreads Advertising Motorcycle Pins in this lot. All of these are unused and (4) of them are still carded and unopened. All of the clasp sections for the back are included. These identical pins have two loops at the bottom that may be for event or year charms. They were made in Taiwan. Under a clear coating these pins picture three mountains, a road, and a motorcycle with riders. They are marked as follows: NEW HAMPSHIRE RETREADS CONCORD 1987 All of these for one price! The pins each measure 1-1/4'' wide. They are all in mint unused condition as pictured. Below here, for reference, is some additional information about the Retreads Motorcycle Club: ''The Retreads are motorcycle enthusiasts who have attained and passed their 40th birthday (spouse of member need not be 40). They are riders, persons connected with the trade and interested spectators who have renewed their interest with others of their own age group. They come from all walks of life. The club is chartered with the American Motorcycle Association (AMA), but members are not required to be AMA members. The club was conceived and started in 1969 by George R. Spidell of El Cajon, California. It has grown to approximately 25,000 members worldwide. Members are located in the United States, Canada, England, Australia, and a few scattered in others parts of the world.'' ''The club is basically a fellowship club. Visits are made between members, personal friendships are made and events are planned. Activities range from local ''get togethers'' to Area, State, Regional and International events (rallies). Most State and/or Regional leaders put out a newsletter outlining forthcoming events and/or rallies as to locations and dates.'' |
