The pictures show all (10) 1930s Old Orchard Beach Pier, Maine Photographs & Negatives in this lot. Two of these are dated 1937 on the back. The first two images are negatives and the rest are photos. The first one is of a U.S. Navy Sailor and his young wife or girlfriend. The scene is either a homecoming or sending him off to his ship. A restaurant called "Van's Cafe" can be seen in the background as well as the OOB roller coaster. There is an "Old Orchard Beach" sign at the left. The other negative and photographs picture the pier and the building at the end. It has signs such as "Dancing", "Vaudville Dancing", "Casino" and "Motion Pictures". Two of them have signs for "Wonderland". Some of the vendor booths on the Pier can be seen as well. The largest one here measures 6" x 3-3/4". These range fromexcellent to mint as made condition. |
