New York   Worlds Fair   Souvenir   Advertising   Historic   Nostalgic
The picture shows all (7) 1939 -1940 New York World's Fair Items in this lot.

The first item is a very detailed hot plate or trivet. It is embossed and has a silver foil covering. In the center is a scene with I believe the Brooklyn Bridge. There are sailing ships, a Boxing Ring, Storefronts, a New York Skyline, and many people. Around that image is an airplane, a cruise ship, automobiles, a diesel engine with train, the Administration Building, United States Steel Building, and The Hall of Communication. At the botton it is marked "NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR". Smaller at the top it is marked "MADE IN U.S.A." and "SAYFORD CO. BROOKLYN". It is in very good condition with some wear to the silver foil covering.

Next there is a black & white photograph of the U.S. Steel Building with some people in the foreground.

Next there are (2) elongated cents. Each of these have a raised image and are marked

"RAILROAD BUILDING - NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR"

The last item in this lot is a tiny AC Spark Plugs box from the General Motors Corporation. I was expecting to find some miniature souvenir spark plugs in here but what was found was two Scotish Terrier charms. There is a black and a white scottie dog. There is some advertising on the box. It has some light wear and two tiny inner flaps off. They are included though.

All of these items for one price! To judge the sizes the trivet measures 8" x 6".
