The picture shows a view of all (8) Old Advertising & Souvenir Elongated Cents in this lot. These were all made by a vending machine that rolls a penny between dies. These machines are usually found at popular locations, tourist attractions, arcades, airports, amusement parks, Historical sites, or any number of other similar places. The first elongated cent was a souvenir from the Statue of Liberty. It has an image of the upper part of the statue and it is marked: STATUE OF LIBERTY The next one is a souvenir from the Empire State Building. It has an image of the skyscraper and it is marked: THE EMPIRE STATE NEW YORK Next there are two from the former Twin Towers of The World Trade Center that was in New York. One has just the twin towers and the other has the buildings with the New York City skyline. They each read: WORLD TRADE CENTER NEW YORK Next there is one from Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom. It has an image of a pirate skeleton at a ship's helm from the Pirates of the Caribbean. This one was from either Disneyland in California, or Disney World in Florida. It is marked: © DISNEY MAGIC KINGDOM The last three of the elongated cents in this lot are religious ones. There are two from different dies that have The Ten Commandments, and one that has the Lord's Prayer. The one with the Lord's Prayer has a hole to hang it as a charm or pendant. These each measure around 1-1/2'' long. They are in excellent to mint condition as pictured. |
