| | | The picture shows a view of this Very Funny 1911 San Francisco Plumbing Company Letter. The letter is an ''Exact Copy of a letter Received by the Lally Company. Wholesale dealers in plumbing supplies. San Fransisco.''. The letter was written in very broken English apparently by an Italian Plumber from San Leandro, California on August 2nd, 1911. Basically the letter is from an angry Plumber about a missing valve handle for a valve that he had installed. He carries on and on about it and his business with the company. At the very end, the final line (again in broken English) reads ''since i rite thees i fine the goddam handel in the box excuse to me.''. Why he still sent the letter is unknown, but I'm sure that it got plenty of laughs at the company. The letter measures 8-3/8'' x 10-3/4''. It is in excellent condition with folds and some light age discoloration as pictured. |
