Large Old Framed Victorian Young Lady Tin Type Photograph
Victorian   Lady   Tin Type   Photo   Photograph   Photography   Historic
The picture shows a front and back view of this Large Old Framed Victorian Young Lady Tin Type Photograph. The photograph and frame are not dated but are believed to be from the 1800s. The hanging wire appears to be newer but everything else looks to be all original including the old rippled and bubbled glass and the wooden backing. We have not taken the frame apart to see if there are any markings inside. The origin of the photo is unknown, but it had come from a batch of 1800s items from Binghamton, New York that had been stored away since 1948. The young lady in the photo is wearing a dark dress with a ruffled collar. For jewelry she is wearing hanging or dangling earrings. The frame is dark stained wood that might be oak. The photograph with the frame measures 8'' x 9-5/8''. It appears to be in very good condition. The oval paper matt has some old moisture discoloration. From what we can see the photograph has no damage, but it is up against the glass in the area of her face.
