| | | The pictures show views of this Old Boxed Parker Brothers Old Maid Card Game. The year that this game was made is unknown but it is old. All of the cards that are included are in the first picture. The other pictures show some closer views of the colorful cards. The game appears to be missing at least two cards. Two of them do not have a match. The only single card should be the Old Maid. Even so, this is a very nice older game with interesting characters on the colorful cards. They remind us of old trade cards or non sports trading cards. The characters on the cards (in no particular order) are as follows: (1) Old Maid (2) Old Maid's Cat (2) Old Maid's Dog (2) Tommy Tanner (2) Old Harry (2) Hans Dutch (2) Peter Pudding (2) Susie Sweet (2) Theodore Thing (2) Hasty Puden (2) Professor Proser (2) Golfer McCaddie (2) Sally Skipp (1) Matthew Match (1) Henry Holler The box cover pictures an old sailing ship and some nice art nouveau lines. It reads as follows: OLD MAID GAME PARKER BROTHERS INC. SALEM, NEW YORK, LONDON MADE IN SALEM, MASS. U.S.A. The box measures 6-1/2'' x 5-1/8'' x 1''. The cards each measure 2-1/2'' x 3-5/8''. The cards appear to be in very good condition with some light soiling from handling and a few with light creasing. The box has some edge wear and a few characters lightly drawn on the bottom in pencil. These could be erased by the buyer if desired. |
