The picture shows all of the parts to this Colorful Old Kiddyland Movies Cut Out Alphabet Paper Toy. These six parts appear to have been cut out of an old childrens book or magazine. I do not see a date but from the images it is believed to be from the 1920's. The Artist name, Thomas B. Lamb, appears at the bottom right of the top section and the bottom right of the last strip. On the back of the parts is a colorful comic strip story with Hopi Indian kids. The alphabet strips are numbered #1-#5 and have a section on the end to paste them together. The strip then slides in and out of the cut out windows in the top piece. The top section pictures clowns and animal characters. The colorful strips have all kinds of unusual characters on them. The chalkboard on the first strip reads "KIDDYLAND MAKES FRIENDS WITH THE ALPHABET" These pieces would look great framed. To judge the sizes the top section measures 7" x 3-3/4". It is in excellent condition with some wrinkling. |
