There are two pictures showing a view of the items in this Old BOAC Airlines Junior Jet Club Kit. The BOAC VC10 advertising swizzle stick drink stirrer was added to the lot. The kit here contains the envelope, a metal wings badge on the original card, the Junior Jet Club Log Book, and an advertising brochure for BOAC's VC10 Airplane. The outer envelope mentions that the Junior Jet Club was formed on March 26th, 1957. The cover also mentions the (3) items that came in it, which include the J.J.C. badge, log book and enrollment card. There is no enrollment card because this would have been given to the stewardess after it was filled out to join. There is no mention of the brochure. The envelope has wrinkles as pictured. The flap has come off but it is included. The log book that is included here has a blue cloth cover. The cloth appears that it had gotten wet at some point. The first page pictures the wings badge and has a place to fill in your name and address. It has been filled in. The next page pictures a pilot and has a welcome message from Captain O.P. Jones. The next (9) pages are for log entries. The places to be filled in include: Date Of Flight, Aircraft And Registration, From, To, Hours / Minutes, Statute Miles. and the Captains Signature. This book has only the first entry filled in and signed by the Captain. The one entry is from July 23rd, 1965 from Boston to London. The next two pages have pictures of "THE SUPER VC-10", the "ROLLS - ROYCE 707", and the "COMET 4". The last page has instructions and the benefits. The club worked much like the frequent flyer programs of today. It has the club address in Victoria, London, England. The booklet was printed in Great Britain. The Wings Badge is on the original card. The badge is in mint condition, but the blank card is lightly soiled. A close up view of the badge is pictured. The brochure has (4) panels. the cover pictures the BOAC VC10. The inside two panels have advertising for the plane. The back panel has the vital statistics for the plane. It is in excellent condition but does have some dents from the badge pressing against it. All of these items for one price! |
