The picture shows all (9) Different Old Whistles in this lot. Included here are the following: Brass Bird Whistle. I believe that this was made to fit onto a tea pot. The birds beak and tail are mechanical. On the bottom it is marked: RISDON MFG. CO. NAUGATUCK, CONN. PATD 3-15-23 U.S.A.. It appears to be in excellent condition with some bends in the tail. Two Tone Plastic Whistle With Pencil Sharpener. This one is similar to the type that used to be used as a prize in Cracker Jack except it has a sharpener mounted on it. It is red and yellow with a green sharpener. It is marked: STERLING NO. 508 MADE IN U.S.A.. It is in mint condition. Red/White/Blue Plastic Police Whistle. This one has a loop to hang like a charm. I see no makers mark. It is in mint condition. Porcelain Whistle With Flowers. The flowers look like a transfered design. There is no makers mark. It is in mint condition, but has a small manufacturing flaw on the mouthpiece. Field Siren Whistle With Chain. This one might be made of bakelite. It is marked: FIELD SIREN PAT. NO. 2113396 (1938 patent number). The chain measures 10-1/2" long. There is no manufacturers name. It is in very good condition with some teeth marks. Plastic French Horn. This one has a brass reed in the mouthpiece. It has a chrome silver paint and is marked: SPEC-TOY PRODUCT MADE IN U.S.A.. It is in very good condition with some paint flaking. Plastic Saxophone. This one has a brass reed in the mouthpiece. It has a chrome silver paint and is marked: SPEC-TOY PRODUCT MADE IN U.S.A.. It is in excellent condition with only light wear. Plastic Saxophone. This one was probably a party favor from the 1970s. It is made up of three parts that are blue, pink, and white. It is marked: HONG KONG. It is in mint condition. Plastic Tube Siren Whistle. This one has green and yellow sections. There is no marking. It is in mint condition. All of these for one price! To judge the sizes the porcelain whistle measures 3-1/2" long. |
