| | | The picture shows a view of both sides (all 12 panels) of this 1938 Kellogg's Corn Flakes Cereal Baseball Player Poll Advertisement. The Rules section begins with the statements: ''The Kellogg's All American Baseball Poll begins Sunday, July 17th, 1938, and closes at midnight, Saturday, September 17th, 1938 - a period of nine weeks. It's purpose is to elect one player each week for a position on the Kellogg All American Baseball Team.'' The contest gave away cash prizes, prizes to Grocers, and a new Buick each week to the most popular player chosen. The advertisement pictures two baseball players and two boxes of Kellogg's Corn Flakes cereal. The ballot is not filled in. It is unknown who actually made the team in 1938. The advertisement (opened as pictured) measures 15'' x 6-1/8''. It has folds as made and is in excellent condition except for a a 2-1/2'' tear. The tear doesn't show up well in the scan. It is at the bottom center of the ballot. |
