| | | | The pictures below show larger views of this Old Unused Miniature Brass Metal Mechanical Address Book. Shown is the top, the bottom, and the address book opened. This mechanical address book is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1950s or 1960s. It was made in the U.S.A. but the maker is unknown. It was probably purchased from an old novelty catalog or from an old five and dime store. There is an area on the cover to engrave initials or a monogram. This was made to be small to carry in a purse or pocket. The way that this works is you put the little knob on the letter that you want and push the button in the front. The cover will spring open to the page that you had selected. The first card inside has lines for information like your name, address, phone number, important numbers, etc.. The address cards inside are all unused. The closed brass address book measures 1-13/16'' x 2-5/8'' x 3/8''. It appears to be in mint unused condition as pictured. |
