| | | The pictures show views of this Old Painted Plastic Ken L Ration Dog Food Advertising Premium Fido Coin Saving Bank. Shown is the front with the cute face, the back, and the bottom. This hard plastic Advertising character premium bank is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1940s or 1950s. There are no markings and the actual maker is unknown. It was most likely a mail away premium from the dog food company. There was a salt & pepper shaker set that was made and could have been ordered as well. There is a coin slot at the back of the head and a hole to retrieve the coins in the bottom. It does have the plastic cover in the bottom but it is loose and had been taped since it was new. The Fido character dog head coin bank measures about 4-1/2'' x 5-1/4'' x 3-1/4''. It appears to be in excellent condition. The bottom has old tape marks from the loose cap as mentioned above and as pictured. |
