| | | The pictures show views of this Early 1970s Tonka Rail Splitter Wheelie Dragster Race Car. This race car is not dated but it is believed to be from the early 1970s. Inside this lime green and black pressed steel dragster is a clockwork type mechanism that is wound by rolling the rear wheels in reverse. After wound you let it go. The car rolls forward and a cog inside makes a center wheel lower causing the car to do a wheelie. The car is made of steel with a plastic engine, windshield, and wheels. It is marked on a sticker and the bottom as follows: RAIL SPLITTER PAT. PEND. TONKA MADE IN JAPAN The toy car measures about 6'' x 4-1/4'' x 2-1/2''. It appears to be in good working condition with wear from use as pictured. |
