The pictures show views of this 1955 Kellogg's Corn Flakes Cereal Box Front With U.S. Navy Frogman Offer & Bonus Painting. The first picture shows the front panel of this 8 ounce cereal box. The second picture shows the back of this cardboard panel. We had acquired six different old cereal box front panels with this Artist's paintings. This is one of them. This is a very interesting, signed, dated, painting on a classic and nostalgic Norman Rockwell Kellogg's cereal advertising box for children. There is just so much that can be said about this item. This is ONLY the front panel of the cereal box. There is the great colorful Norman Rockwell illustrated advertising image of a young toothless, red head, and freckled face young boy with a string tied on his finger to remember something. The panel pictures one of the baking powder cereal prizes (Obstacles Scout), and Norman Rockwell's printed signature. There were two sets of these Frogmen. The smaller set came one in each specially marked cereal box, and the larger set of three was a mail away premium set. This is the advertising on the store shelf that a child would have seen. If you are reading this perhaps you were that child back then. There is a signed and dated unusual original painting on the back (box inside). The painting is of French Olympic Ice Skater ''JACQUELINE DU BIEF'' (see below). The painting was created on Thursday, September 6th, 1956 by Francis Tierney II. A One of a Kind piece from 1955 & 1956. This cereal box front panel is marked on the two sides as follows: KELLOGG'S CORN FLAKES THE ORIGINAL - W. K. KELLOGG NAVY FROGMAN HE DIVES AND SWIMS!
