| | | The pictures show a front and back view of all (5) 1896 Sweet Caporal Cigarette Premium Celluloid Pin Back Buttons With Sayings in this lot. These pinback buttons were part of an 1896 collection of pinback buttons that we had acquired. They were used as a premium from Sweet Caporal Cigarettes. They appear to be from the same set. It is unknown how many are in the complete set. Each of these pinback buttons have a saying or slogan from the Victorian era. There are a Sweet Caporal and Whitehead & Hoag Company advertising paper inserts in the back of each of them. Each is also marked ''SWEET CAPORAL CIGARETTE'' on the front. In the order pictured, they have the following sayings:
