The pictures below show a front and back view of all (3) 1896 Cigarette Advertising Premium Hawaii Country Flag Celluloid Pin Back Buttons in this lot. These pinback buttons were part of a large 1896 collection of pinback buttons that we had acquired. Two of these were used as a premium with packages of Sweet Caporal Cigarettes. The different one was probably from a different brand or another set. It is unknown how many are in the complete set. Each of these pin back buttons have an image of a Hawaiian country flag from the Victorian era. There are a Sweet Caporal, Whitehead & Hoag Company, and Horace Partridge Company advertising paper inserts in the back. The pin back buttons have slightly different flags and they are marked as follows: HAWAIIAN ISLANDS. THE HORACE PARTIRDGE CO., 55 HANOVER ST., BOSTON, MASS. W. & H. CO.
