The cover has a label that pictures the floating candles in use. The bottom has a label with instructions. The oval box is marked as follows: FLAME FLOATS 1000 HOURS OF CANDLELIGHT CA. 90 WICKS 4 FLAME FLOATS ©1958 HOLEN IMPORTS, INC. NEW YORK, N.Y. THE ORIGINAL GLAFEY NACHT LICHTE NURNBERG, WEST GERMANY Bottom: (instructions) Inside the box there are (4) embossed tin candle wick holders with floating cork sections on the bottoms. These are embossed as follows: 1808 - 1908 G G A G The letters are believed to be the initials of the maker G. A. Glafey. The tin sections were made to float on vegetable oil with a lit wick in the center. There is also a pair of tin tweezers for handling the wicks, and (78) waxed wicks on colorful paper holders. To judge the sizes the box measures 4-1/8'' x 3'' x 1-1/8'' wide. The kit appears to be in mint condition as pictured. |
