The set is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1940s or 1950s. This is “A PRODUCT OF SCHLESINGER'S INC., N.Y. 3, N.Y.”. The larger box is in the shape of a book. Inside there are (6) full match boxes of the original eight. The smaller boxes each have an illustration and a funny saying or joke on the box and below them on the larger box. The closed larger box measures 4-1/4'' x 3-3/8'' x 1-1/8''. The set appears to be in good condition with two of the small matchboxes missing as pictured. |
