The picture below show larger front and back views of all (4) Different 1928 Massachusetts Department of Health Child Health Day Cards in this lot. At the bottom of the gold “W” card is were we believe is the year where the line reads “2d Imp. 3 - ‘28. No. 1842 b.”. This “CHILD HEALTH DAY” was most likely an assembly line to check out the general health of young school students. These would most likely get attached to children in the process. Someone had saved these four cards. The larger one has extra paper because it was pasted in a scrap book at one time. The others were paper clipped to it. We do not know how many different cards there were in the program, but the cards that are included here are as follows: PHYSICALLY FIT P – POSTURE T – TEETH W – WEIGHT All four of these for one price! To judge the sizes the largest card measures about 3-1/2'' x 5''. Three of the cards appear to be in excellent or better condition. The “Physically Fit” card was pasted in a scrapbook as mentioned above and it has a small amount of paper loss at a bottom corner as pictured. |
