The pictures below show larger views of all (21) Different Small Old N.A.S.A. Space Shuttle Mission Advertising & Souvenir Items in this lot. The first picture shows all of the items, and the second picture shows a little closer view of the smaller items. This is an accumulated lot that came from many different sources.

The first and largest item in this lot is a (16) page Concord (New Hampshire) Monitor Special Newspaper Supplement from January 1986. The supplement is about the famous Space Shuttle Challenger, but mostly about Christa McAuliffe, the Concord, New Hampshire school teacher who was chosen out of 10,000 candidates to fly on the Challenger’s 10th mission in space. It is a very positive supplement with many articles and much information. It was acquired ny New Hampshire residents prior to the disaster that took place during the Space Shuttle Challenger’s launch on January 28th, 1986.

There are (4) different large NASA photograph pictures. The are from “The Space Shuttle Collection”. They are
marked as follows:

#F-002 A TIMES EXPOSURE OF THE SPACE SHUTTLE AT LAUNCH PAD A COMPLEX 39.
#F-016 THE COUNTDOWN CLICKS TO ZERO FLAWLESSLY AND THE LAUNCHIS PERFECT AS CHALLENGER CLAWS ITS WAY INTO THE SKIES.
#F=040 A NUMBER OF CLOUD TYPES FORM THE BACKDROP FOR THEEARTH ORBITING SPACE SHUTTLE CHALLENGER.
#F-048 THE PLANET EARTH AS VIEWED FROM OUTER SPACE.

Next is a ©1984 book titled SPACE SHUTTLE. It is a Gloucester Press Mini Book. The soft cover book has (40) pages filled with details and many illustrations all about Space Shuttle flights and missions.

There is a single postcard that pictures a space shuttle riding on a 747 NASA airplane landing at Kennedy Space Center. The post card has a Buffalo Bill Cody 15 cent postage stamp, a 1989 Jacksonville, Florida postmark, a short message, and it was sent to a Rochester, New Hampshire mailing address.

There is a large unused triangle shaped “SPACE SHUTTLE” embroidered cloth jacket patch.

There is an unused Space Shuttle Challenger embroidered cloth jacket patch. It has an Earth globe, an American flag, an orbiting Space Shuttle, and the names of the last (7) Astronauts of Challenger including the following:

McNAIR - ONIZUKA - RESNIK - SCOBEE - SMITH - McAOLIFFE – JARVIS

There is a metal and plastic toy Space Shuttle Discovery, and a small plastic one marked NASA X-38. The larger one has opening cargo doors and moving parts inside. It looks like a rear tail broke off, was glued, and broke off again. We do not know if there were more parts to these or not.

The rest of the items included in this lot are all smaller ones.

There is a pinback button with a launch. It has rust spotting on the front and back. It has the following names:

LOUNGE – HILMERS – NELSON – HAUcCK – COVEY

There ia an STS-132 aluminum coin. One side has the Earth, the Atlantis space shuttle, with the Stature of Liberty and her torch. The other side has the shuttle. It is marked on the two side as follows:

ATLANTIS
104

STS – 132 ATLANTIS
BOWEN - REISMAN – HAM – ANTONELLI – GOOD – SELLERS
STS – 132

There is an enameled metal Space Shuttle & Satellite charm beacelet charm.

There is a small Space Shuttle Columbia pin with the shuttle, an eagle, and an American flag.

There is an unopened Christa McAuliffe Planetarium advertising souvenir pin.

The final (5) pins are all of unknown Space Shuttles.

All twenty-one of these Space Shuttle items for one price! To judge the sizes the large triangle shaped cloth patch measures about 8'' x 8-1/8''. These items appear to range from good to mint unused condition as pictured.
