| | | The pictures show views of all (4) Old Whitman Paper Dolls with Case & Many Outfits in this lot. Shown are the (4) different Whitman tekwood stand up dolls, all of the included outfits, coats, & hats, accessories, and both sides of the original colorful plaid cardboard suitcase. This lot contains the following: (4) Whitman Tekwood Dolls (Mary, Sally, Betty, & Joan) (4) Marbleized Hard Plastic Doll Bases (35) Different Outfits (some have a velvet like finish) (23) Different Hats (1) Purse (1) Pair of Pink Plastic Scissors (1) Old Metal & Wood Clothing Hanger (1) Plaid Suit Case with Insert That Holds Everything The dolls are made of wood with printed paper on the two sides. They each have their name at the bottom. The outfits and hats fit all of them. There are outfits that have matching hats, dresses, pants, suits, hats, and more. All that it pictured is included. The case has a metal handle and latch. The case has simulated tourist stickers that read as follows: MY DOLLS TAKE A TRIP 4 STAND UP DOLLS MADE OF TEKWOOD CLOTH LIKE DRESSES DRESSES - HATS - COATS, and SCISSORS TO CUT THEM OUT NO. 5608 MADE IN U.S.A. WHITMAN PUBLISHING CO. To judge the sizes the dolls each measure about 10'' tall. Over all the lot appears to be in excellent condition as pictured. Three of the four hard plastic bases have a crack. Most of the tabs appear to be present, but a few may be missing. The case has a light crease as can be seen in the bottom picture. The last thing to mention here is that there was an old balloon that was stored in the case with the dolls. That balloon had dried and melted some over the years and traces of that red balloon is found on the inside of the case and on several of the outfits. |
