The pictures show views of the Large Old Grocery Store Halloween Costume Raisin Advertising Display Poster & Sign in this lot. The smaller sign matches the two ends of the larger display poster. The poster image has a few lines that are not on the poster. This is because three photos were taken and assembled into one. These are not dated but they are from the 1950s or 1960s. They are both very colorful. The poster has an image with many children in costumes Trick-or-Treating at a house. There is a Pirate, a Cowboy with a horse, a Devil, a Ghost, a Witch, a Bear, a Gorilla, a Bunny Rabbit, a Skeleton, Clown, and a few girls in different dresses and hats. The two ends of the poster and the sign have an image of a young boy in a ghost costume with a Jack O Lantern on his head. The poster is made of heavy paper and the sign has a corregated cardboard backing. These are rolled and not folded. In the pictures there are granite rocks holding them down and keeping them from curling when the pictures were taken. These would look great framed! They are marked as follows: RAISINS RAISINS RAISINS GET LITTLE PACKS FOR GOBLINS' SACKS TREAT THEM TO LITTLE PACKS OF RAISINS The poster measures a huge 75'' x 24'' and the sign measures 13'' x 24''. These are bright and colorful and appear to be in excellent condition. The poster has some edge wear, a thumb tack hole at each corner, and a horizontal tear that could be repaired on the right side at the top of the Jack-O-Lantern. There is also a small vertical edge tear that could also be repaired below the cowboy. Both are as pictured. If we were to keep this we would mount it on linen or a backing board before framing. |
