The picture shows a front and back view of the (2) International Centennial Stamp Exhibition British Pavilion Souvenir Cards With Stamps in this lot. The cards have advertising for Gimbel Bros. and for a Dick Merrill first day cover. The cover is for a ''CORONATION GOODWILL FLIGHT'' and they are cancelled in London, England on one day and New York, New York the next day. When they were ordered, the covers could have been autographed as well. Gimbel Brothers of 33rd & Broadway of New York claim on the cards to have the ''World's Largest Stamp Department''. These cards measure 3-15/16'' x 2-7/16''. They are mint condition as pictured. The postage stamps are used and have cancelations. |
