The pictures show a front and back view of all (3) Old Unused Vancouver British Columbia Canada Real Photo Post Cards in this lot. These three postcards are not dated but judging by the stamp boxes, these are from the 1900s to the 1910s. The location is not on the cards either, but from the advertising signs we believe them to be from Vancouver, in British Columbia, Canada. The first two post cards are identical and the third one is of the same building under construction but at a different angle. The images shown Carpenters working on the construction of a city building. Also early electrical and maybe telephone lines can be seen as well as a city street, fire escapes, staging towers, people, horse drawn wagons, other buildings, and some advertising signs or billboards. Some of the advertising signs that can be seen are as follows: BOND & RICKETTS SIGNS WM O'NEIL & CO. BUILDING MATERIALS 548 SEYMOUR ST. MARBLE TILE & GLASS THE ??UDD & SPEN?? VISIT INDIAN RIVER PARK AND THE FAMOUS WIGWAM INN One postcard has some writing on the back. It reads as follows: ''This is a picture of the building were Gun works when they first began working on it.'' The post cards each measure about 5-3/8'' x 3-5/16''. Except for the writing on the back of the one, they appear to be in mint unused condition as pictured. |
