The picture below shows a larger view of the (2) Different Colorful Old Fisher Price Children’s Wooden Pull Toys in this lot. These toys are not dated but they are believed to be from the 1950s. Actually the larger toy may have a 1956 year within the patent numbers. The first pull toy has four unusual looking birds with a Mother and four babies. As these birds roll along their round wings all rotate, and there is a loud squeaking noisemaker under the Mother that works very well. The Mother’s head is also on a spring and it wobbles as it moves as well. It has wooden, plastic, and metal parts, and a black pull cord or string. It is marked underneath on the noisemaker as follows: FISHER PRICE TOYS PATENTS U.S.A. 242,607 DES. 173625 CANADA 1956 RD 142 – 20695 451349 The other pull toy here is much smaller. It is not marked but it is believed to be from Fisher Price as well. It is of a dog or puppy, with colorful wooden parts, a painted face and leather ears. It has a white pull string and tail Both of these pull toys for one price! To judge the sizes the larger toy measures about 12-1/2'' long. The dog pull toy appears to be in near mint condition. The bird pull toy works very well, but it is missing the wooden beak on two small birds, and a ribbed black rubber band piece on one wheel as pictured. |
