The picture shows the cover of this ©1950 Art Book Entitled "NINTH GRAPHIC ARTS PRODUCTION YEARBOOK". The book was from NASSON COLLEGE and has an inscription inside that reads: "PRESENTED IN MEMORY OF KENNETH S. SANBORN, TRUSTEE." This impressive book is very heavy and thick. It was published by Colton Press, Inc. of New York. It contains 728 pages not counting the many, many different paper samples or other added features inside. This hard back bound book has everything you could possibly imagine pertaining to Graphic Art, Commercial Art, or Advertising Art at the time of its 1950 printing. It is a virtual gold mine for the graphic artist or those interested in Retro design. It is "THE STANDARD REFERENCE VOLUME ON PRODUCTION IN ADVERTISING AND PUBLISHING". There is far too much in the book to mention, but you can bet that if it had anything to do with 1950 Graphic Art it is in here. The book measures 8-3/4" x 11-1/4" x 2-1/4". It is in mint condition with the excepton of a few light scratches to the cover. |
