The picture below shows a larger view of all (3) Different Old United States Justice Department Federal Bureau of Investigation Paper Items in this lot. There is a (26) page booklet filled with much information about the FBI. It is titled “ THE STORY OF THE FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION”. The cover has their insignia or emblem. The first page states that “THE PURPOSE OF THIS REPORT IS TO ACQUAINT THE YOUTH OF AMERICA WITH THE WORK OF THE FBI. INFORMATION WHICH IT CONTAINS IS MADE AVAILABLE AT THE SUGGESTION OF THE SUBCOMMITTEE OF THE COMMITTEE ON APPROPRIATIONS, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES”. It has a printed signature of J. Edgar Hoover, Director. It has their Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation insignia or emblem on the cover page. There is another different smaller booklet or brochure from January 1975 titled “99 FACTS ABOUT THE FBI”. It has questions and answers along with illustrations throughout its (32) pages. It has their Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation insignia or emblem on the back. The third and final item included here is an old linen type postcard. It is unused but has a few paste spots on the back from being in an old scrap book at some time. The title or caption reads as follows: 524: FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION. JUSTICE DEPARTMENT. WASHINGTON, D.C. All three of these FBI items for one price! To judge the sizes the larger booklet measures about 7-3/4'' x 10-3/8''. These items appear to be in excellent or better condition as pictured. The larger booklet has a Wells, Maine student name pencil on the cover that could be easily erased if desired. As mentioned above, the postcard is unused but has a few paste spots on the back from being in an old scrapbook at some time. |
