| | | The picture shows a view of this Colorful Old Unused Waterville Maine Main Street Post Card. This postcard is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1940s. The card has many downtown buildings and stores as well as many old parked cars. There is a Red Cross flag hanging from a window and some of the signs can be read such as an F. W. Woolworth Company store, Puritan Restaurant, Thomas Business College, Bowling Alleys, and a round Coca-Cola sign. The post card is marked on the two sides as follows: Main Street, Waterville, Maine ''Tichnor Quality Views'' Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. Made Only By Tichnor Bros., Inc., Boston, Mass. The postcard measures about 5-3/8'' x 3-3/8''. It appears to be in near mint condition as pictured. |
