The picture below shows a larger view of (5) Unused ©1957 Cyclops & Daughter of Dr. Jekyll Double Feature Horror Movie Ad Mat Molds in this lot. The ad mats are not dated but they are from 1957 when these two movies were made. This is a mold in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this.

The ad mat is like a miniature 3-D poster and would look nice framed, or you could still use them to make print blocks. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. These admats have several images of the Cyclops monster, and two images of the Daighter of Dr. Jekyll. They are marked as follows:

DOUBLE BILL OF ARCH FIENDS!
50 FT. HIGH GIANT IN A TERROR LAND!
THE CYCLOPS
STARRING JAMES CRAIG
BLOOD HUNGRY SHE BEAST!
DAUGHTER OF DR. JEKYLL
STARRING JOHN AGAR - GLORIA TALBOTT - ARTHUR SHIELDS
