| | | | The pictures below show larger front, back, inside, and outside views of this Working 1920 Elgin National Watch Company Octagon Shaped Pocket Watch with Monogram. The serial number inside determined that this watch was made in 1920. The Elgin watch has an hour hand, a minute hand and a second hand. There is a winding dial at the top and a nice loop with some scrolls to hang it on a watch fob chain. The face is white with black numbers and letters. The case may be brass or gold plated. It is not marked and we do not know for sure. On the back there are (8) Flowers with leaves and an engraved monogram in the center. The Elgin pocketwatch is marked on the outside and inside as follows: ELGIN

2040 Counting the unusual shaped loop at the top, the pocket watch measures about 1-11/16'' x 2-1/4'' x 3/8''. The pocket watch appears to be in excellent condition as pictured. It is in working order, winds well. It seems to require being wound often. |
