| | | | The picture shows a view of this Old Elmer Layden's Safety Club Membership Pin Back Button. This pinback button is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1930s. Elmer Layden had once played football for Notre Dame. He later went on to be their the head coach and athletic director. We are not familiar with this Safety Club that was sponsored by Bit-O-Honey candy bars. The pinback button is imprinted in red and black. It pictures Elmer Layden and it is marked as follows: MEMBER
