The picture below shows a larger front and back views of this Colorful Old Asbury Park New Jersey Advertising Souvenir Change Purse. The change purse is not dated but it is old. These purses were most likely sold as souvenirs in gift shops on the Boardwalk, but this one was found in a large lot of prizes that was being used in old arcade crane machine games on the Boardwalk in the 1960s and early 1970s. The purse is made of embossed and painted vinyl and a metal hinged top section. It pictures a colorful scene with a surfer, a fisherman, a sailboat, motor boats, water, and birds. Below the image it is marked as follows: SURFING - SAILBOAT - FISHING The purse measures about 3-3/4'' wide. It is in excellent unused condition with some wear as pictured. The purse is still packed with old packing paper inside. |
