Newspaper   Comic   Comic Strip   Character
The picture below shows a view of a portion of this December 3rd, 1905
Boston Sunday Post Newspaper Color Comic / Cartoon Section. It is much too big for scanning, but I did scan the top section which has the newspaper's name, the date, and a sampling of one of the comic strips.

The paper is from 1905 and there are (4) full pages. On one of those pages There is a full page ''COUNTIES OF NEW ENGLAND'' Puzzle Contest. More than half the page is of color images. There are 53 prizes. 1st Prize: Waltham Gold Watch, 2nd Prize & 3rd Prizes are Waltham Silver Watches. The next 50 winners were to receive a gun metal watch each.

The next page has what appears to be a Humor section called ''THE BINGVILLE BUGLE''. It has comic characters all around and funny stories in the center. The next page is called ''PAGE FOR BOYS AND GIRLS''. There are childrens stories, some pictures, a cut out section, and information on the Young People's Art Club.

The last page has two color comic strips. The titles are as follows:

THE TALE OF A ROMANTIC RIDE IN TOYLAND

MUGGSY QUEERS A DOG SALE AND SAVES A FIVER

The fully opened newspaper measures 33-1/2'' x 22-1/2''. It is in very good condition with normal light wear.
