The picture shows a view of the (2) Old Boxed Miniature Goodall & Son Limd Patience Playing Card Decks. These card decks are not dated, but with a little research we found them to be from between 1897 and 1921. The key was the wording on the ace of spades. Shown in the picture is the box, the two colored card backs, an Ace of Spades, a Joker, a face card and a numbered card. These two decks together have only one Joker with a red back. The blue deck is missing the five of clubs. Written on the one Joker is ''5 Clubs'', so obviously it was being used as a replacement for the missing card. Other then that, all of the other cards are present. The hinged box has a divider inside and is marked ''PATIENCE'' on the lid or cover. The two Aces of Spades are marked as follows: GOODALL & SON LIMD LONDON GOODALL LONDON To judge the sizes the cards each measure 1-1/4'' x 1-3/4''. The cards appear to be in excellent used condition as pictured with even wear but no creasing. The box has only light wear. |
