The picture shows a front and back view of this Old Lexington Massachusetts Minuteman Bicentennial Commemorative Paperweight. This hexagon shaped paper weight is made of clear lucite or plexiglas and it has a coin or medal inside. The paper weight commemorates the Bicentennial of The American Revolution. The coin inside has an image of a Minuteman and is marked on the two sides as follows:

LEXINGTON MINUTEMAN
1775 - 1975

IN THE DAWN OF APRIL 19, 1775 THE MINUTEMEN FACED THE BRITISH REGULARS ON THE BATTLE GREEN IN LEXINGTON, MASS. CAPTAIN JOHN PARKER GAVE THE ORDER ''DON'T FIRE UNLESS FIRED UPON! BUT IF THEY WANT A WAR, LET IT BEGIN HERE''. A SHOT WAS FIRED AND THE BATTLE BEGAN. CAPT. PARKER AND SEVEN OTHERS WERE CUT DOWN.

The paperweight measures 3-1/16'' wide by 7/8'' thick. It appears to be in near mint condition with a tiny edge chip (left image top left) as pictured.
