The pictures show larger views of all (13) Unused 1954 3 Ring Circus Movie Advertising Ad Mat Molds in this lot. Many of the admats were cut off the sheet and used, but there are (13) here that reamain and are still connected. The ad mats are not dated but they are from the 1954 movie. These are molds in which lead is poured to create thin metal negative images that are then mounted on a wooden blocks for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this. The ad mats are like a miniature 3-D posters and would look nice framed, or you could still use them and make print blocks from them. The print blocks would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. The molds are made of a thick compressed paper board. Three of the admats have movie scene images. The other ten have different combinations and amounts of the movie title and actors, and other credits. The admat that has the most is marked as follows: DEAN AND JERRY TAKE OVER THE CIRCUS … IN THE MOST HILARIOUS SHOW ON EARTH DEAN MARTIN AND JERRY LEWIS IN HAL WALLIS' PRODUCTION ''3 RING CIRCUS'' PRESENTED THROUGH VISTAVISION MOTION PICTURE HIGH FIDELITY WITH WALLACE FORD AND ELSA LANCHESTER DIRECTED BY JOSEPH PEVNEY STORY AND SCREENPLAY BY DON McGUIRE A PARAMOUNT PICTURE (Paramount Logo) To judge the sizes the largest admat included here measures about 4-1/2'' x 3-5/8''. Most of these are in mint unused condition as pictured. One has a slight right edge trimmed. One has a brown corner water spot, but it would have no effect on the image if the admat is used.
