|The picture shows a view of all (4) Different Old Full Match Boxes With Flicker Images in this lot. These are not dated but they are believed to be from the 1960s. Each has an old flicker image that is applied to the box. The images were most likely all made by the Vari-Vue Company.|
The three larger matchboxes have a flap to open inside when the box is opened. These have a straw looking match that appear to be coated in wax. They also have an applied velvet finish. The inside flap is marked on one of these (the upper right one). It is marked:
A KINGSBRIDGE PRODUCT
The smaller box appears to be made by a different company. It was made in the U.S.A. and it is filled with wooden matches with gold tips. The different flicker images are as follows:
Young lady in a bathing suit water skiing.
Man playing a drum while a woman dances.
Man bowling and he gets a strike.
Cartoon man golfing and barely hits the golf ball off the tee.
To judge the sizes the larger three each measures 2'' x 1-3/4'' x 1/2''. These vary from good to excellent condition as pictured. There is wear to the velvet finish as pictured. The three larger ones are unused and the smaller one had the striker used a few times.
