The picture shows a view of both sides of all (4) Different Early Heavy Metal Chocolate Candy Molds in this lot. These are only parts of one side of four different interlocking molds. These molds are broken, but they would still make a good primitive decorative kitchen items. The molds are not dated but they are believed to be from the 1800s or early 1900s. The maker is unknown. They appear to be made of heavy cast aluminum. These were sold to us as chocolate candy molds. Included is a rat, a grouse or pheasant bird, a monkey, and a oil & vinegar table set. Chocolate, lead, or whatever molding material would be poured into the bottom of the figures. To judge the sizes the rats mold measures 3-1/4'' long. These appear to be in fair broken condition as pictured. As mentioned above, these are only one side parts of broken molds. |
