| | | | The picture shows this Old Colorful & Detailed Angel & Cherub Print. The back is blank. This appears to be a plate page from an old book. The book is unknown and so is the age, but it is old. The colors are bright and vibrant. The lower part of the image is of a young girl praying in a garden. The rest of the image has an angel riding on a gold carriage. The carriage is being pulled by butterflies with a child angel at the reins. Many more other child angels or cherubs can be seen. Many of them are holding or playing a musical instrument. It has a printed signature "H BRAUN" at the lower right. At the bottom is a caption that appears to be German. It reads as follows:
Die fchone Selinde wird eine ElfeThe image area measures 4-3/16" x 5-15/16" with plenty of white space around for matting. It is in near mint condition. The image area is clean, but the edges of the white space is lightly discolored from age. |
